Do Not Adjust Your Monitors

No, you're not seeing things. I started a new project. And you know what that means, right? Yup, Somewhat Cowl is done. It fits really well and I'll post pics once I get some good shots.

For now, meet Saffy from Rowan Denim People in Nashville--their darkest shade.

Saffyrightstart

I never noticed Saffy until I came across it at Bestitched. Hers is gorgeous and couldn't fit her better. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make it. The yarn arrived on Friday but I was a good girl and waited until I finished Somewhat Cowl before I even opened up the yarn.

After finishing Somewhat Cowl in two weeks I'm wondering how long it would take to knit Saffy if I gave her the same kind of commitment. Truth be told I doubt it will happen though. While I think the results of monogamous knitting are great, I just don't think I can do it all the time!

Another fitted beauty? Well, of course!

I'm only going to be in Philly the one day, this Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll be done with work around noon or maybe earlier and have some time to stop by Loop and Rosie's. Rosie's closes late that night, so I will definitely make it there before heading back to the train station. Will you be around? :D

That's beautiful sweater!

I like being monogomous...sometimes I get bogged down with the sheer number of projects to finish...although it is cool finishing up 3 projects at once. There's plusses to everything.

oh man - how does this happen! i am so behind in reading my blogs that you start and finish a sweater before i even notice it!

it looks gorgeous! and saffy is a great next project. raspy from the same book is on my to-do list in the not too distant future.

That is a very cool cast-on. Looks like ruffled picots.

Wow, I really like that stitch pattern. Way cool.

Hmm, the idea of a denimy sweater is awfully tempting now...

I too noticed the Saffy over at Bestitched. I have some denim kicking around waiting to become something. Although I had always thought it would become Raspy, lately I've been thinking aobut Saffy. It seems more timeless! I cannot wait to see how yours turns out.

Ooh, very nice choice. I bet it will look great. Can't wait to see the finished cowl as well.

Ooh, I'm thinking of a denim project soon too... not for me, but in Denim none the less! How is it on your hands? I've heard it can be very rough, but that's from a big complainer of a knitter!

I started Saffy last year, put her in hibernation over the winter, and have just pulled her out as part of my intention to finish some of the pieces I have on the needles!

Saffy is a great knit. Diana's looks great, and I'm sure that yours in dark denim will be beautiful.

Stacey said:

ooh - very nice - I've been eyeing a few patterns in that book!

Yay! I love my Saffy and I know you will love yours as well. Plus, it's a fun knit. Are you planning on doing the embroidery?

Saffy will be so cute on you Jody! As a monogamous knitter, doing the multi WIP dance makes me nervous and jerky. Different strokes as they say :)
